Service Award Nominee
Emmanuel T. Mohammed Great Laked Regional DC
Emmanuel, Perishable Order Selector at the Great Lakes DC, is also the Founder / President of Mission for Children's Health Africa.
The mission's main goal is to give the children of Ghana pro-bono medical care that is not available in their homeland. Over the past six years, Mission for Children's Health Africa has helped over 65 children obtain the medical treatment that they desperately needed. These children are often without parents and left to fend for themselves.
Emmanuel and a team which includes eight associates from Great Lakes DC are currently working towards building an orphanage in Ghana to give the children without parents a place to live and the chance to go to school. They are volunteering their time and resources and rely heavily on outside financial support and donations.
Mohammed and his team of volunteers are accepting donations of the following items:
Health: Diapers, wipes, powder formula, vitamins, pain medicine such as ibuorifen and Tylenol, mosquito nets and insect repellant.
Other: Notebooks/loose leaf paper, pens, pencils, crayons, chalk, chalk board erasers, toys, learning materials (children's math, reading, English school books), coloring books, washcloths, and flip flops.
Send donated items to: Mission for Children's Health-Africa, 3367 Greywood Dr. Columbus, OH 43219
